Information regarding the request for variances by Adney Exchange Holding Co. LLC - Tony Becker for parcel number 60320512, physical address 18835 Marie Lane, Crosby, MN 56441 is available at https://www.crowwing.gov/1799/County-Board-Meetings. Eleven written public comments were received by Land Services, pcboa@crowwing.gov by the deadline. All were stating opposition to the requested variances. Numerous Adney Lake residents also gave personal testimony at the July 16 meeting in opposition. The Board approved the variances with conditions to prevent development of, and motor vehicle use, along the Shore Impact Zone between the existing beach area and the point. NOTE: The DNR was requested to review, and comment on, the requested variances but failed to provide a response.
Lake Adney neighbors and friends met July 11 to hold the Association's Annual Meeting, hear news from Association Officers, share a meal, and enjoy time together. Officers were elected to serve a two-year term.
A main dish and beverages will be provided. Please bring a dish to share. There will be a special speaker and prize drawings for those in attendance. Association dues may be paid at this meeting.
Adney Lake Association members and their families enjoyed the 2024 Annual Meeting and Picnic. Our guest speaker was Shannon Watters from WAPOA who shared information about shoreline restoration and preservation.
Adney Lake neighbors gathered on July 8 for a potluck lunch and the Annual Meeting including a guest speaker from the MN Pollution Control Agency. IT was reported that Adney Lake is in excellent condition with properly maintained lakeshore and preserved water quality.
Additional parking is available at Mike and Gwen's cabin - driveway to the right of Mark and Mary Jo's. Lunch, dessert, beer, pop and water provided. The Adney Lake Association Annual Meeting and Picnic will be held July 11 beginning with a pot luck picnic at 12:00 pm. Please bring a chair for yourself and dish or dessert to share. A drawing for donated prizes will be held. Annual Association dues of $10 per household can also be paid at this meeting. Carpooling, four-wheeling, etc. is encouraged as parking is limited. However, additional parking will be available at Gwen and Mike Baker's, 18293 Whispering Pine Lane.
The 2019 Annual Meeting and Picnic is hosted by Sharon Rosberg. Please bring a chair and a dish or dessert to share. Meats, beer, pop and water will be provided. A drawing for donated prizes will be held.
